Last week my husband and I along with our best friends took an awesome vacation for 8 days. We cruised to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk. It was probably one of the best things we ever decided to do as far as vacations go. It was really nice to not only be able to vacation with our friends, but also a nice farewell before we move to Charlotte next week.

This is one of those posts that even though I could write a million words, nothing comes out. Its simple, these girls are my closest friends and we have been through thick and thin together. Every single one of these women is very special to me. I came up with this idea to shoot them and myself before I moved (it was harder then I thought) , but I did it. I am super happy that we finally were able to come up with a date that we could actually all get together, look fabulous and have photos that last a life time. Meet my beautiful friends: Diane, Sarah, Samantha, Khamille and Lidia.

This is MA DAWG Diane, she’s the best ! Our friendship is pretty tight, we simply just go with the flow and think alike, she’s known me for 5 years now, its insane.

This one right here, yea this is Samantha her and I together are trouble, at least thats what my husband always says ;P

The Hernandez Family

I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing the Hernandez family again, this time it was with their new bundle of joy Sophia ! Sophia is the cutest little baby girl and is the perfect addition to their family ! This was my first real new born session and it definitely was a wonderful experience to capture the real life of a mother. Congratulations Hernandez family you have a beautiful daughter and I know you two will be awesome parents.

Do you see those cute little hats? Well guess who made these amazing little props, Daniela’s mom and she has made tons of them for Sophia !

We Are Moving | Charlotte Photographer

As I posted a couple of weeks back my husband and I are relocating to the wonderful state North Carolina ! We are SUPER excited to start a new season in a new town. Two weeks ago we took the weekend to check out the area more in depth, we saw about 15 different homes for us to live in and explored almost everywhere we possibly came across.

We dined in the city with some awesome family and even had a mini photo shoot at UNC Charlotte ! It hasn’t hit me yet that we are leaving basically everything behind, but eventually it will.. For now I’m super excited and know God has big plans for us up there !

Chris & Lilly | Fort Lauderdale Engagement Photographer

I feel like its been forever since I’ve had an engagement session, well okay, it’s only been like a month since my last one. Now that I think of it, i’m pretty sure this will be my last one before I move. I love getting to know couples and their story and I HIGHLY recommend engagement shoots to every bride and groom. Not only do you get awesome photos of this great time in your life, but you get to learn more about each other and get used to being in front of the camera. So this past weekend I got to photograph Chris and Lilly, Chris is my husbands 3rd cousin? lol who’s counting ha!? Which makes him my 3rd cousin in law. Basically he’s Family ! Anyways, I had a blast finally getting to know these two love birds, they are super cute and cheesy, even after 6 years of dating ! Which is great because it reminds me of my hubby and I.

Chris and Lilly were kind enough to trust me to pick the location and since I had never shot in Las Olas before, I decided to experiment with them and with my new little baby D700 ! Enjoy the sneak peak of their engagement shoot !

Hey everyone ! Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend ! Back in December I had the awesome opportunity of meeting these two little cuties ! Mackenzie and Connor love love LOVE to play, and when their super sweet mommy asked me to photograph these two cuties again, I was happy I find kids being to easy to photograph, some might think how? Well let me tell you, a lot of people want posed photographs and their is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but there is nothing greater then photographing life just the way it is. These two will smile for me, but I love photographing them on the run !

Adam & Lauren | Jupiter Beach Wedding Photographer

Adam & Lauren.. hmm where do I even begin. I met them a while back in November and did their engagement shoot in December, I couldn’t wait to photograph them We had a blast getting to know each other, laughing and talking about their love for travel. They are probably the sweetest laid back couple I have EVER met ! Lauren is so beautiful in and out (just wait till you see how stunning she is), and she rocked decorating this wedding ! One thing about I love about her is her laugh, it’s just so contagious ! Ive never had a couple who trusted me so much, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that and love them because of it ! They are truly a unique couple and they are just perfect for each other.

They picked Jupiter Beach Resort as their venue and boy was I amazed of how beautiful this place is for weddings ! I may never photograph an indoor wedding ! I love love LOVE outside weddings When I first arrived and grabbed her dress and saw that hanger I was like HECK YES ! I knew right then and there this wedding was going to be AMAZING ! Adam and Lauren had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends that were so super loving ! Everyone there was just super sweet, I couldn’t believe how hospitable and funny everyone was ! They had a great group of friends in their bridal party that were all really just characters.

Congratulations Adam & Lauren, I wish you the best and hope I get to work with you two again !

And I want to thank my awesome assistant Erin for helping me out extremely that day

Daniela & Derlin | Parkland Maternity Photographer

It feels like it’s been a while since I last posted, but I am happy to be featuring my first maternity session today ! Daniela and Derlin are good friends of mine and I can’t wait to see them become such awesome parents ! They are a super sweet couple and I was honored to photograph this exciting time in their life. Daniela has a due date the week of April 16, but when she went to the doctor on Friday he told her he could have the little peanut this weekend ! But I’m really happy we waited till she was 9 months because well who doesn’t love a big 9 month old belly? We met up on Sunday (yesterday, crazy that I have this post up already) at the crack of dawn !! And the lighting was perfect ! She chose a beautiful playground in Parkland and it was quite perfect ! Enjoy and Congratulations Daniela and Derlin I told you she’s coming out in March !

Bittersweet

To be honest I have had this post written for a couple of weeks now, I have contemplating when to post this, but I think its time now. Don’t worry future brides my wedding packages will still stay the same for 2012 You don’t have to pay for air fare or hotels ! Sweeeet right?

Im sitting at my computer trying to type this blogpost with barely any words coming out of my mouth. My husband and I have been joking about moving to North Carolina for a while now.. Never serious just a thought a very nice thought, I adore it there. A couple of weeks ago we just felt that it was time, why not? What do we have to lose? We felt like God was in it, and everything just seemed to line up so well. I started this business about a year ago in March and its been a joy ever since ! God has blessed me with so many amazing clients here in South Florida, Ive sown quite a bit of seed here, but I think it’s time to move, literally move on.. Its a super bittersweet feeling. My husband and I are super excited, it is going to be an amazing journey for the both of us.

As far as family and friends go, we know we are leaving everyone behind.. Its definitely something that hasn’t hit me yet and quite frankly I’m kind of scared for it to. As far as my business I’m EXCITED to grow my business somewhere else, Charlotte is beautiful!! Actually everywhere in North Carolina is ! I can’t wait for something so fresh and new, it is going to be wonderful to see all the amazing seasons and be able to photograph in every single one. Right now it is kind of hard for me to look back at South Florida when all i can think about is Charlotte. But I am still going to be coming down for weddings , but of course I will only take a couple a year, but my friends and family are in Florida, so I know ill love to fly back to shoot weddings in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

I have all these things popping in and out of my head, Ive only moved once and I was 3 years old so I don’t remember, but this is seriously the first time I will move. Its hard, Im sure a lot of Wedding photographers who have done this before know how I feel.. This won’t be easy but Im excited ! Im always up for something new and a good change I don’t like when I get to comfortable somewhere and we knew if we didn’t do this now, it would be too late, we would get way too comfortable here.

It looks like the big move is going to be happening in mid May if things go as planned, if you know of anyone who wants to book a photo session with me I still have a couple openings in April and May ..

Photos will be coming soon of our beautiful new home state !

P.S. I am going to be doing a free engagement session up in Charlotte on April 7-8 to one couple who hasn’t had one yet.. IF you know of any please help me spread the word ! Have a blessed weekend !
